Date: (Sun.) Feb. 3, 2013
Location: Soda Springs, CA
Event Director: - 530.583.1232

Type: Ski-O; Point-to-point Sprint Ski-O event
The Day-9 event is a point-to-point Sprint ski-O event. Brenda Giese and Matthias Kohler are designing the White, Orange, Green, Red, and Blue courses for this event. This cross country center has one of North America's largest trail systems, with lots of hills to test your skills and endurance at the end of this Ski-O Tour.
One-Day Embargo Area for Competitors
If you are competing in this event, the Summit Station, Palisades Peak, Devils Peak, Ice Lakes, and Kidd Lakes trail systems are closed to competitors for the day before our event. The Van Norden Lakes area, however, is open for competitors. Any exceptions to this embargo (typically made only for first-time ski orienteers who have not pre-registered for this event) must be made by an Event Director.

Beginner Clinics
Free beginner clinics, which typically last 15 to 20 minutes, are available to any competitor who needs to learn how to use the map and learn about the rules of the sport. If you need a beginner clinic, let the registrar or event director know and we will direct you to the person giving the clinics. Typically, we have a person assigned to give clinics from 9:30 to 11:00. After 11:00, we can find someone to give you the clinic but you might have to wait a few minutes.
Starts
All other competitors will be assigned start times between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM on a first-come-first-serve basis. Typically, you get faster snow with the earlier start times.
