BAOC at U.S. Classic & North American Championships

Late September provided a terrific opportunity for orienteering in the northeastern U.S. the U.S. 2-Day Classic Championships were held at Ward Pound Ridge, NY, followed the next weekend by the North American Championship in and around Hanover, NH. The latter, held every other year, has become the biggest event in North America, this year drawing over 500 competitors, many of whom competed the previous weekend at the Classic Champs as well. Thus the fields were talented and deep, even more so than at the U.S. Individual Championships we held in the Bay Area in March. In addition to the BAOC medalists listed below, many fine performances by BAOC'ers resulted in narrow misses from the medals. Complete results can be found by following the links below.

The next North American Championship will be held in the Yukon in 2018 (http://yukonorienteering.ca/naoc2018/). Put it on your calendar now—it's sure to be a great event!
