Golden Gate Park Training Session

There will be a training session Saturday, September 16th, in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Training

There will be two different programs. One for people interested in more competitive training, and one for more introduction to orienteering.

The competitive-focused training will start at 10 AM and go till 11:20 AM. Kids are welcome at this training. We will start with a terrain run warm up and intervals. Then agility training, and finish with a couple orienteering exercises. The focus is on back-to-basics. There will be beginner, intermediate, and advanced training.

The more-slow-paced beginner training will start at 10:30 and go till 12:30. There will be an hour of introduction and education, and then participants will be able to try out a training exercise on their own. The focus for this will be on introducing the map symbols and the basic skills.

Registration and Fees

Please sign up online by Friday evening if you are planning to attend.

The cost will be $5 for BAOC members, and $20 for non-members.
