The club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is next Sunday, April 13 at the Sunol event. The AGM will start at 1:30 around the registration/e-punch area. I want to encourage all of you to come out to Sunol, one of our finest orienteering venues, and certainly one of the Bay Area's most beautiful parks. Try to plan your day so you can join us for the AGM. It's your chance to find out more about what is going on in the club, and (just as important), it is the chance for the club leadership to hear from you.
The official agenda is below. We will have two important actions on which the membership will vote. The first is the election of club officers for next year. The Nominating Committee has recommended, and the Board of Directors has approved, the following nominees:
- President – Nick Corsano
- Event Coordinator – Alex Finch
- Treasurer – Steve Beuerman
- Secretary – Trinka Gillis
The second action is approval of revisions to the Club bylaws. It is considered best practice for non-profit organizations to conduct a periodic review of their bylaws. BAOC had not done this since the bylaws were first adopted in 1992. This year, a committee headed by board member Kelly Wells reviewed our bylaws, and proposed a number of modifications. The board suggested some additional changes. You can see a chart showing the final version of these changes side by side with the current bylaws, and explanatory notes in this PDF file.
I hope you will all take a look at the bylaws changes before voting on them next Sunday.

Driving Directions
To reach the park, take I-680 to the Sunol/Calveras exit. Go south on Calaveras Road about 6 miles to Geary Road. Turn left onto Geary Road and continue a couple of miles to the park. Pay the parking fee $5 ($2 dog fee) and follow the O' signs to registration.
