Hope you will join us as we return to beautiful Calero Park for our annual B event. This year we will offer the regular 7 courses: White, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Green, Red, and Blue.

Registration and the beginner's clinics will be in the main parking area. Both Start and Finish will be within a short walk from the parking area. Allow 10 minutes to reach the Start.

Electronic punching will be used on all courses except White and Yellow, so don't forget your e-sticks. You can rent an e-stick at the registration if you don't own one.

Course statistics and other information are provided in the Event Directors' Notes.

Registration will be open from 9:00 am to noon. Starts will be available from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Short beginner's clinics will be offered as needed between 9:30 am and 10:30 am. The courses will close at 2:00 pm. Please remember that you must report at the Finish by 2:00 pm whether or not you complete your course (we don't want to have to go looking for you!).

For more information about the typical costs and schedule at orienteering events, please see our FAQ.

As always, we are looking for volunteers for this event. If you are able to help, please let us know.

Driving Directions

From the Peninsula, take Highway 85 south to Almaden Expressway. Head south 5 miles to the end of the road. Turn right onto Harry, and then immediately left onto McKean. The main park entrance is 5 miles south on McKean. Go past the boat ramp and turn instead at the entrance marked "Calero County Park; Park Office; Equestrian Center; All Trailheads".

From the East Bay, take Highway 101 south past San Jose and exit at Bernal Road West. Immediately take Monterey Highway south (this will involve bearing right off Bernal, then making a left turn onto Monterey Highway). Go south 3.4 miles and turn right at the traffic light onto Bailey Avenue. After 2.9 miles west, Bailey ends at McKean; turn left and go south 0.7 miles to the park entrance.
