35 years! Happy anniversary, BAOC. It was also my Mom's birthday, and she had a special party in San Luis Obispo, so I was a substitute event director in absentia who was substituted for on the day of by Vicki Woolworth and Steve Gregg.
Allegedly, the weather was fantastic (since we must report on the weather) and the cake was yummy.
Kinda weird writing an event write-up when I wasn't present, but I do appreciate the event happening with your help and support. I went on RouteGadget to see the courses set by up-and-coming course setters Graham and Chris Brew, and they made good use of the lower terrain, while the upper terrain is being rested. Looked like a lot of fun, and wish I could have run them myself. Graham and Chris thank Joe Scarborough, founder of the club, for mentoring them and giving great guidance on their course planning. They also thank Steve Harrison for vetting all of the courses. Graham and Chris saw a dog pulling a donkey through the park — did anyone else see one?

Lost & Found
There was only one item left behind at Joaquin Miller Park after Sunday's event, but it was a big one. A red, reusable grocery bag, filled with food! Included in this bag was a Stanley thermos, two plastic Tupperware containers with hard-boiled eggs and sandwiches inside, 5 tangerines, and 4 "Go-Gurts" (which are those yogurts in a long plastic tube). A very nice lunch for someone, but sadly left behind, almost completely uneaten.
Anyway, if this belongs to you, let know, and we'll find a way to get it back to you. Especially the thermos, which appears to be a very nice one.
