Anyone who thought about going to Red Bluff, but decided not to go, missed out on a great event. Ben Legg has discovered and mapped a beautiful venue with interesting terrain — fast, runnable, oak woods mixed with grassy fields and uncluttered creekbeds, all studded with rock formations with the Sacramento River running through it! It was especially pretty this past weekend, with lush, green grass, millions of wildflowers, and views of snow-capped mountains all around.
Rex and Jonas whipped up a couple courses that taught us all a thing or two. Other assembled experts were generous with their time, commentary, energy, and advice.
Camping accommodations were comfy. There was a nice grassy area for tents, with a nearby bath house with hot showers. We used the charcoal grills for a Saturday BBQ followed by a campfire.
If all that wasn't enough, Jim Fish contributed a fun Night-O course.
