It didn't rain ... too badly. I thought I found all the awesomely decorated houses, but apparently a few more popped up after Monday, as I learned after participants returned from their courses. I figured that the folks who really did things up would at least have it done by the weekend before the event, so Monday would supposedly be a safe time to scout the course. We didn't do too badly, because the Score-O course went in the general area of many brilliantly decorated homes—large spiders crawling on the outside walls, silhouettes of witches and ghosts covering windows, tombstones galore. And the returning participants were eager to tell me about the extra ones they had found.

And to think that the orienteers were checking out the trick or treaters—well it goes both ways. Many were stopped on the course—"What are you doing?" If you like doing an event among the crowds, this is your scene!

We enjoyed socializing and dining at the restaurant after navigating the throngs. Thanks to Rolling Dunes restaurant for graciously accommodating our group for the time period of the event.
