Minutes of the BAOC Board Meeting held February 12, 2026

Present: Officers – Stephanie Maclean (President), Tapio Karras (Vice President), John Richardson (Secretary); Board members – Dan Greene, Steve Haas, Jeff Lanam; Visitors – Chuck Spalding, Greg Khanlarov, Vicki Woolworth

The meeting was held via Zoom. It was called to order by the President at 7:32 PM.

Secretary’s Report

The Secretary announced tentative plans to hold the AGM at the Huddart Park event on April 26th. The Bylaws Committee will present its proposals at the AGM for a formal vote.

No email votes were taken since the previous Board Meeting.

Juniors Program and Performance Grants

The President celebrated the revival of the Juniors Program, with multiple events scheduled in 2026. Roughly 20 juniors have already signed up. The Vice President and Treasurer are finalizing the structure of the performance grants; further details will be published soon on the website.

New Control Unit Purchase and Rollout Plan

The E-Punch Director confirmed the acquisition of 80 new BSF-9 control units, which are more water resistant and will be debuted at the Lake Herman event. The Club is planning to buy a printer to use at events for results and additional maps. The Board discussed the current inventory of units and storage logistics.

New Website

Greg Khanlarov demonstrated the new Club website and content management system. The goals are to revamp the look and feel, improve usability (especially on mobile devices), and decouple content management from presentation.

The Board provided feedback and discussed pricing options for hosting the website. The Board expressed gratitude to Greg for taking on this significant project.
