(NOTE: Even if you decide not to finish your course, we want to know that you have gone home safely.)

The fees will be $6/$3 for the first adult/junior in each group, and $2/$1 for each additional adult/junior in the group (additional children under 8 are free). Compasses can be rented for $1 each.

In addition, there is a $5 fee at the entrance to the park.

Note: No dogs are allowed in the park -- not even on a leash.

Driving Directions

From the north (San Francisco) or the south (San Jose), use Highway 280. From the east, take the San Mateo bridge and continue on Highway 92 to Highway 280 south. Turn off at the Woodside Road (Highway 84) exit. Turn westbound (toward Woodside), and follow the directions below.

If you cross the bay on the Dumbarton bridge, continue on Bayfront Expressway to its end, and get on Highway 101 north. Take the next exit onto Woodside Road, and take that road about 4 miles to cross under Highway 280.

Proceed on Woodside Road approximately 1.5 miles through the Town of Woodside. Turn right on Kings Mountain Road. Proceed up the hill to the main park entrance. There is a $5 fee to enter the park.

Park rangers will direct you to the Meadow Parking area (we are not permitted to put up any signs). After entering the park, make a right turn and proceed about one half mile to the lower end of Huddart Park to the Meadow Parking area. Walk to the West Meadow Area for registration. (Note that this is not the staging area that has been used in the past.)
