Golden Gate Park

February 13, 2000

by Ian Ramsey, meet director

Golden Gate Park greeted us with rain and said good-bye much the same way. Around 30 people had the park to themselves and enjoyed the excellent course-setting of Dwight Freund. Considering the conditions, spirits were high and almost everyone had a good time. Below are the complete results.

We had a new feature on the Orange course - an option to use a map without the trails marked on it. There was some debate over the use of such a map in the future, and I think this may be one way to make the park more interesting and maybe more difficult.

I had wonderful volunteers including Joan Roos, Neal Barlow, Mike Springer, Wyatt Riley, and Scott Aster. Ev and Jean Beuerman manned registration, and several competitors helped me in myriad ways. Thanks all.
