The BAOC Board of Directors will hold a meeting Monday, September 9th, at 7:30 PM as a video conference call via Zoom.
All BAOC members are invited to attend.
- If you want to participate, contact Stephanie Maclean (BAOC President, ) or John Richardson (BAOC Secretary, ) for the video conference information.
The main topic for this meeting will be the 2025 BAOC event calendar. Please join us as we talk though our plans for next year. We would love to hear your input and suggestions.
Course setters and event directors: This is your chance to let us know your preferences, too. We also offer to match up new volunteers with experienced members for all positions, so please let us know if you are interested in helping with one of the events.
Our plan is to publish next year's schedule by the end of September to allow everyone to plan ahead.

Following on from Steph's note above, this link (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JG_uFZgck4lyAvmna2OC0SjCBXJ0Unv0NjaGXUiUttk/edit?usp=sharing) will take you to the tentative draft plan for BAOC events in 2025. Please note that almost all aspects of this plan are still subject to change. In fact, I can assure you that some of these dates and venues are guaranteed to change. We are circulating it now simply to give visibility and access into the planning process. If you wish to comment on this plan, feel free to email me directly. Or, better yet, attend the September 9th meeting described above, which is open to all members.
We have already collected lots of good feedback on this plan. All the collected feedback will be considered when making revisions during the meeting.
After the September 9th meeting, we will start to solidify these plans and aim to circulate a reasonably firm calendar of 2025 events by October.
- September 7th Update:
- The tentative draft plan (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JG_uFZgck4lyAvmna2OC0SjCBXJ0Unv0NjaGXUiUttk/edit?usp=sharing) for BAOC events in 2025 has been slightly revised since the message above was originally published.
- There is still a lot to discuss. Some of the points to discuss during the September 9th meeting include:
- Format of the multiday events
- Challenges with using East Bay Parks maps
- Ensuring we have enough volunteers to staff the schedule as planned
