Redwood Regional Park Volunteer Project

Date: (Sun.) Aug. 12, 2012
Location: Oakland, CA
Event Director: - 650.281.5280
Type: Service project involving ongoing habitat restoration and removing “exotic” (invasive) plants

Following up on our successful participation in a volunteer project at Almaden Quicksilver in early June (BAOC got a big thanks from Santa Clara County Parks for the efforts of nine BAOC volunteers), we have decided to participate in a volunteer project at Redwood Regional Park. In addition to an opportunity to “give something back,” this will enable us to strengthen our relationship with the East Bay Regional Park District.

The August 12 project is described as ongoing habitat restoration and includes removing “exotic” (invasive) plants. The project will start at 9:30 AM and end at 1:30 PM.

will be coordinating BAOC participation. Please contact him for additional information, and let him know if you are at all interested in participating.

More information will be available later.

Information on the Park Department website is available here (http://www.ebparks.org/getinvolved/volunteer/operations).
