Location: Los Gatos, CA
Event Director: - 925.872.3935

Type: C; White, Yellow, Orange, Brown, and Sprint courses
This is a great time of year to visit Vasona Lake. It's past the summer season, so there aren't the crazy crowds. The Canadian Geese are about trimming the lawns, and it's cool.
This is a low-key event perfect for first timers. BAOC COOL, our interscholastic league, will be here so you can watch the students fly by on these very flat courses.
If you are thinking of moving up a level, this would be a good time to try it. The courses here are generally easier and shorter than the same courses at our B meets.
Electronic punching will be used on all courses. SPORTident finger sticks are required, and are available for rental for $3.
Preliminary course statistics:
- Recreational Courses
- White: 1.0 km, 9 m climb, 12 controls
- Yellow: 2.0 km, 15 m climb, 12 controls
- Orange: 3.1 km, 25 m climb, 10 controls
- Brown: 3.6 km, 25 m climb, 11 controls
- Competitive Course
- Sprint: 3.6 km, 25 m climb, 11 controls
All the courses have less than 1% climb.
To get to Vasona Lake, take highway 17 South from San Jose. Exit at Lark Avenue and turn left (east, over the highway at the light). At the first traffic light, turn right (south) onto Los Gatos Boulevard. Turn right again (west) at a traffic light onto Blossom Hill Road. After crossing over Highway 17 again, the park entrance will be on your right.
There is a $6 per-car fee, which you pay at a kiosk. The machine accepts credit cards.
