Lodging
Plenty of lodging is available near our competition venues in the greater North Lake Tahoe Area. All of the Tahoe venues (Tahoe Donner, Tahoe XC, Royal Gorge, and ASC) are within 45 minutes of one another, with Truckee being in the approximate center. We recommend checking the Internet for hostels, motels, cabins, and hotels. Additionally, consider sending a message to our event E-mail distribution list (sierra-ski-orienteering@googlegroups.com) to see if someone else is looking to fill a bed or two in their cabin.
Here are some web sites to get you started in your quest for lodging (let us know about any other useful links):
- Hostels

Although there are plenty of places to stay, we definitely recommend making reservations by December, because the rest of Northern California fills up the lodging close to the ski resorts. Hotel prices are usually high, but you can rent condos or cabins for 5-15 people for very nice rates.
Note: The volunteer's cabin is full.
