As summer arrives (on the calendar, even if the weather has been more spring-ish), I expect that people get busy with all sorts of vacations and other things. So it was a delightful surprise to get a very healthy turnout for the second event of the 2023 Summer Series, with 69 entries and over 115 participants. We've been using this campus for a while, and it was nice to hear positive comments about the courses, the map, and the venue.
On the Beginner course, Amelia Archer blazed through with a time of 16:38, followed by Mande Keita and The Sloths (not very slothful!). Haoming Yu edged out Emily Ellsworth, followed closely by Steve Gregg on the Short course. On the Long course, Jeff Goodwin finished a full four minutes before Graham Brew, who was followed closely by Evgeny Kachanovsky. All the results are below.

Summer Series Results
Great to see so many new faces at Mills College on Sunday. Thanks to George Minarik for some challenging longer legs with lots of route choice. And thanks to Vicki Woolworth, and the host of other volunteers, for the event organization.
As is often the case early in the Sumer Series, I am missing quite a few years-of-birth (and genders) for participants. As a reminder, unless you are a 21-year-old male (which is the default), you will almost certainly increase your score/standing if I know your actual year of birth. If you send me the information, I'll be happy to update the results.
