BAOC's 12-man relay team competed in the 199-mile (~320 km) Relay over the weekend of October 15-16, 2005. The team finished 2nd in the men's submaster (min. age 30) division, and placed 9th overall (238 teams finished) in a time of 23h 1m 4s.

The Relay begins in Calistoga on Saturday (we were in the latest starting pack in the afternoon), and ends in Santa Cruz on Sunday afternoon. The race is divided into 36 legs, so that each team member runs 3 legs, just under 9 km each on average. The Relay is a benefit for Organs'R'Us, a non-profit organization promoting organ donation.
