Bayfront Park, Menlo Park

October 31, 1998

Beginners' event

Bayfront Park is a small (about one-half sq km), mostly open area with a number of modest hills and quite a few trails. This Saturday event  will have only Start-O', White and Yellow courses. This is a great opportunity for families, kids and first-time orienteers. In honor of the  date, the meet will have a Hallowe'en theme. Costumes are optional!

The map was made on O-CAD last summer by then Cadette, now Senior Girl Scout Liz Butterfield.

Directions: From the Peninsula, take Highway 101 to the Marsh Road East exit. Stay to the left so you can go straight ahead into the park at the traffic signal where Marsh turns right into Bayfront Expressway.

From the East Bay, cross the Dumbarton Bridge. Go to the fifth traffic light and turn right into the park.
