A freestyle orienteering course is one in which you visit the controls in any order and where all controls are of equal value. Today we offer a freestyle course with a time limit. Your goal is to visit as many controls as possible within the time limit. Late return is penalized. Foot participants may choose between 50 and 70 minutes. You can choose your time limit while you are on the course. Cyclists have a time limit of 70 minutes.

A Vampire-O is a freestyle event, except that when you are running your course, you may be stopped at any time by a "vampire" (identified by a red flashlight). You will trade scorecards, and the vampire will give you the red flashlight. Then you become the vampire.

You will receive your map when you register. You may participate and receive a score in both in the afternoon freestyle event and in the evening Vampire-O. The courses are identical.

Fees: $6 for a first course, $2 for the same person running a second course.

For the Vampire-O, bring a headlamp or flashlight. For the potluck, please bring a side dish, entree, or dessert of your choice.

A microwave oven will be available for reheating food, but we will not have access to a kitchen, refrigerator or stove.

We look forward to seeing you there!
