Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 14-15, 2002

Contact: Trevor Pering, 408-857-7496

Pre-registration required! Limited to 20 people per day.

This year, Bon Tempe hosts BAOC's first-ever Volunteer Appreciation Event. This meet is open only to BAOC members who have volunteered at a club event during 2002 - and for you, it's FREE!

However, due to park restrictions, only 20 people are allowed to run each day, so pre-registration is required. To register, please email me and tell me the following:

There will be four courses offered: Yellow/Orange, Short (Brown equivalent), Medium (Green equivalent), and a Long (Red, which is simply a combination of the Short and Medium courses). Additionally, the Short course will consist of many controls placed close together, similar to the Day 1 courses at Burton Creek this year, designed for rapid navigation.
Preliminary course stats:

Yellow/Orange: 4250m, 200m climb, 11 controls
Short: 3900m, 180m climb, 18 controls*
Medium: 4900m, 200m climb, 11 controls
Long: 8800m, 380m climb (literally short+medium courses)

* Yes, this is correct -- it's the "short course" format, where there are many controls spaced closer together.
