Welcome to Dimond Park and surrounding neighbourhoods for our end of summer Street-O.

We will not be using control bags due to the urban setting, instead you will have to write down the two block numbers on the street sign at the intersection. Points will be assigned to each control, less for the closer controls and more for the further, higher elevation controls.

The course can be completed either by foot or by bike (no motorized vehicles allowed) , so there will be two categories for the fastest times with most controls. Bob Cooley has redrawn the map, we will most likely be using a 1:18,000 scale. Most of the area is residential, so the main danger to be aware of is traffic, particularly on Park Blvd. Please cross only at legal pedestrian crossings. The freeways are out of bounds, there should be no need to go near them in any case.

Registration, starts and finish will be under the trees near the tennis courts in Dimond Park. Registration will open at 9:30am and first starts will be at 10:00am.

See you there.

Directions:

Take the Fruitvale exit off I-580. Go north on Fruitvale for 0.4 mile. Dimond Park will be on your left. Park on the streets adjacent to the park.
