Northstar-at-Tahoe
From Interstate 80, take Route 267 South toward Truckee on Donner Pass Road. Stay on 267 when it turns left (south) at Bridge Street. Cross the railroad tracks and go for about 7 miles. Northstar will be on the right.Visual aids:

Spooner Lake (Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park)
From Northstar and North Lake Tahoe: Take Route 267 south toward Kings Beach. At the T intersection, turn left onto Route 28 east. Go for another 18 miles until you see O signs.From Reno: Take U.S. 50 west through Carson City and up Spooner Summit. After crossing the summit, turn right onto Route 28 north toward Incline Village. Follow O' signs to parking.
From the Bay Area: Take I-80 east toward Sacramento, then US 50 east toward South Lake Tahoe. Continue on US 50 through South Lake Tahoe, and about 14 miles later, turn left onto Route 28 North.

Burton Creek State Park
From Northstar: Take Route 267 south towards Kings Beach. At the T intersection, turn right onto Route 28 west toward Tahoe City. Go about 7 miles until you near Dollar Point. Turn right onto Fabian Way, then make an immediate right onto Village Road. Turn left at the 3rd intersection onto Polaris Drive, and go to the end of the street and follow signs for parking at the North Tahoe High School.From the Bay Area and Donner Memorial State Park: From I-80, turn south on Route 89 toward Tahoe City. In Tahoe City, at the Y intersection, continue straight on Route 28, North Lake Boulevard. Go about 2 miles toward Dollar Point, turn left onto Fabian Way, then an immediate right onto Village Road. Turn left at the 3rd intersection onto Polaris Drive, and go to the end of the street and follow signs for parking at the North Tahoe High School.
