In late June, the Delaware Valley Orienteering Association (DVOA) hosted the Freedom O-Fest, which included the 1999 USOF Convention and three national championships. Several BAOC members competed; below are excerpts showing how we fared in the Relay Champs, Short Course Champs, and the Night-O Champs. US Relay Champs

Held at Mt. Joy in Valley Forge, Penn., on June 27, 1999. BAOC entered teams in both the 4- and 8-point divisions. Our 8-point team took home the Bronze medals for 3rd place, behind NEOC and UNO. Congratulations to them!

Our 4-point team was not quite so speedy and finished in the middle of the pack in the category. Dan Stoll-Hadayia reports that the word of the day was "heat!" The host DVOA team took a 30-second victory over HVO.
